The Norwegian forward has declared his support for the Three Lions to lift the World Cup trophy, citing his English roots and long-standing affection for the national team following Norway's elimination from the tournament.
Haaland's side bowed out after a hard-fought 2-1 defeat to England in a dramatic quarter-final clash in Miami, ending what had been Norway's best-ever World Cup campaign.
Speaking to reporters after the match, the 25-year-old said he would now be cheering for Thomas Tuchel's men, many of whom are his teammates at Manchester City.
"Yeah why not? I think I have a few City lads in England and in France and in Spain so of course I want England to do well. I've been supporting I think I got an England jersey before I got the Norway jersey when I was young, so of course I want England to do well because it's a nice country and a nice T-shirt!" Haaland said.
Norway exceeded expectations at the tournament by reaching the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in the nation's history. Their memorable run included a stunning victory over Brazil in the Round of 16, with Haaland playing a pivotal role throughout the competition.
The prolific striker was one of the tournament's standout performers, scoring seven goals in his opening four matches to inspire the Vikings' historic progress.
However, their dream ended against England despite taking an early lead through Andreas Schjelderup.
England responded strongly, with Jude Bellingham producing another match-winning display by scoring twice to overturn the deficit and book the Three Lions' place in the semi-finals after extra time.
The victory sets up a heavyweight last-four showdown between England and Argentina as both nations battle for a place in the World Cup final.
For Haaland, the defeat also brought an end to a remarkable individual tournament. The Manchester City forward finished with seven goals in five appearances, underlining his status as one of the competition's most influential players despite Norway's elimination.
Although Norway's historic journey has come to an end, Haaland's backing now shifts to England as the Three Lions continue their pursuit of a first World Cup title since 1966.
