    COVID-19: Lagos Logs 63 Out 71 Cases Reported in 4 Staes

    Nigeria on Saturday recorded 71 new coronavirus cases and no casualty links to the disease.

    Also, 9 patients were discharged from hospitals across  the country in the last 24 hours, as the active COVID-19 case count in the country stands at 1,304.

    The tally of confirmed cases so far in Nigeria now stands at 167,803 out of which 164,378 have been discharged after recovered from the disease.

    However, the infection has claimed 2,121 lives since the pandemic began in February last year, according to the update released by Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC.

    The latest positive cases were recorded in 5 states, the public health officials said in its report.

    Lagos state topped the infection chart with 63 out of the 71 new infections recorded on Saturday.

    Aside Lagos, three other states also contributed to the new cases on Saturday which include Oyo, Ogun and Kano with 4, 3 and 1 cases respectively.

    NCDC noted that today’s report includes 6 state with 0 case reported: Ekiti, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Rivers and FCT.
