TAAG Angola Airlines has announced that flight schedules between the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and Luanda Quatro de Fevereiro Airport, Angola, will go daily from January 8.
The company said it aimed to provide greater availability
and mobility options for its passengers and customers.
In a statement, the airline noted that Nigeria is one of
Africa’s largest economies and that Lagos is one of TAAG’s main regional
destinations, with growing indicators of market demand, especially from
corporate passengers.
“Currently, the Luanda-Lagos route has five weekly
frequencies, namely on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
operated by Boeing 737-700 aircraft, with 120 passengers’ total capacity (102
in economy class and 12 in business class).
“A positive impact on trade and people mobility between
Angola and Nigeria is expected while Luanda is reinforcing its status as an
important hub for regional and international connections powered by TAAG Angola
Airlines,” the airline stated.
Recently, the operator has been upgrading the network,
leveraging the connectivity to regional routes: São Tomé Island, Windhoek
(Namibia), Pointe-Noire (Republic of Congo), and Maputo (Mozambique).
The airline said it was deeply committed to providing
quality and convenient services to customers, positioning Angola as a preferred
destination or hub for regional and intercontinental connections.
Founded in 1938, the Luanda-based company has been
connecting Angolans through domestic and international connections.
It leads the Angola aviation market, currently flying to 12
domestic and 13 international destinations with passengers and cargo.
