    Nigeria Reports 541 New COVID-19 Cases as Active Cases Rise to 13,152

    Nigeria reported more than 500 new COVID-19 cases for a sixth consecutive day in a row.

    The health officials reported 541 new case of COVID-19 on Sunday, as the number of active cases in the nation rose to 13,152.

    The new case was identified in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    The breakdown aa follows Lagos-242, Akwa Ibom-94, Enugu-48, Oyo-48, Anambra-34, Rivers-19, Ogun-17, Ekiti-15, FCT-9, Kwara-7, Abia-5, Delta-2 and Niger-1.

    Today’s report includes six states with zero cases reported: Gombe, Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun, Plateau and Sokoto.

    No patient died due to the virus in the past 24 hours.

    Another 306 people recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals across the nation.

    Active cases increased by 235 in the past 24 hours.

    There have been 182,503 cumulative COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. Of those, 167,132  people have recovered, and 2,219 have died due to COVID-19.
