While the number of successfully treated and recovered COVID-19 cases increased by 14. And no patients lost their lives to the virus in the past 48 hours.
According to a post by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Twitter on Saturday, Lagos led in the number of cases with 79 new infections, 4 cases in FTC and 2 cases in Kano state.
Also Nasarawa, Oyo and Plateau reported 1 case each.
NCDC added that seven states reported zero cases: Bauchi, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Rivers and Sokoto.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria in February 2020, about 5,198,572 samples have been tested by NCDC, out of which 256,352 were positive, 250,131 patients have recovered and 3,144 Nigeria residents have lost their lives to the disease.
