    COVID-19: Nigeria Adds 25 New Cases

    Nigeria reported 26 COVID-19 cases on Saturday in 5 states, pushing the total number of cases in the country to 166,756.

    No new death related to the disease were announced on June 5. The total number of people who have died as a result of the virus in Nigeria remains 2,117.

    A total of 162,994 coronavirus cases are considered resolved, which is up by 410 Saturday and is 97.5 per cent of all confirmed cases.

    Here is a breakdown of the new cases by state as released by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, Akwa Ibom-8, Cross River-8, Lagos-8, Bayelsa-1 and Kaduna-1.

    NCDC stated that today’s report includes seven states with 0 cases reported: FCT, Nasarawa, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto and Taraba.

    And 400 community recoveries from Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.

    As of today, Nigeria has 1,645 active cases of COVID-19, down from the previous day when it was at  2,029.
