    COVID-19: Zero Death as Nigeria Logs 138 New Infections

    After days of consistent reporting of fatalities from the coronavirus pandemic, Nigeria on Saturday recorded no death from the disease.

    Saturday makes it the first time since August 15, 2020 that the country reported no COVID-19 related death.

    Health officials in Nigeria reported 138 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours  in 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    A count of data disclosed by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC on Saturday found 9,386 active cases, dropped from 9,404 on Friday.

    Another 95 people recovered from the virus today and no death due to coronavirus had occurred within the last 24 hours.

    Of the 138 new cases recorded on Saturday, the data showed that 51 were found in FCT, 28 in Anambra, 24 in Lagos, 18 in Benue, 9 in Plateau, 7 in Kaduna and 1 in Jigawa

    With the new update, the health officials, NCDC revealed that till date, a total of 206,064 cases have been confirmed, resolved cases increased to 193,893 and 2,723 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    NCDC added that today's report includes 18 cases reported from Benue state for September 30th (9), October 1st (9) and 2nd (0).

    While 0 cases were recorded from Delta, Gombe, Kano, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Rivers, States.
