The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)
disclosed this on its official Facebook.
It noted that, of the new cases, FCT reported the
highest with 37, Lagos had 9 cases, Kano and Rivers had 2 cases each and Plateau
had 1 case.
NCDC stated that two cases reported in Kano are
backlog of from 10th (1) and 11th (1) March 2022
Also said that 2 states with zero cases
reported: Bauchi and Sokoto.
The health officials also reported that Nigeria
did not record a single COVID-19 death for twenty-one consecutive day.
Meanwhile, NCDC added that 9 patients recuperated
from the infection and were discharged from hospitals across the country.
Total active coronavirus cases in the country
now 2,468, increased from 2,426 it was the previous day.
With the new update, the total number of
infected persons in the country moved up to 254,945 since the start of the
pandemic, 249,335 persons have, however,
recovered from the virus while 3,142 people have died from complications after
contracting the coronavirus.
