Popular Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi has shared the secret to her success in the music industry.

The successful mother-of-one expressed gratitude for the trailblazing female artists who came before her, recognizing the sacrifices they made that paved the way for her own success.

Simi highlighted the work ethic of these women who defied expectations and broke barriers in the male-dominated music industry.

During her conversation with African Folder, Simi credited the strong women who influenced her career, stating, “There are women who have worked hard to damn the status quo.”

Acknowledging the influence of her predecessors, Simi emphasized that her success is also due to the groundwork laid by these inspirational women.

“So, I won’t give myself much credit than for because I also benefitted from other women who came before me” she added.

Few days ago, singer Tiwa Savage and Simi tease fans with upcoming music collaboration.

The duo is set to collaborate on a new track, marking their first standalone project together.

Previously, the only time they shared a song was when they were both featured on L.A.X’s track.

Taking to social media with her signature wit, Tiwa Savage teased the upcoming release with a playful caption.
