The challenge was designed to showcase how Indomie’s rich variants — Oriental Fried Noodles, Chicken Peppersoup, and Crayfish — can unite people across Nigeria’s three major cultural groups, while also evoking love, bonding, and unforgettable experiences among families and friends.
Indomie encouraged viewers to explore innovative cooking styles using indigenous ingredients, highlighting the versatility of its flavours in Northern, Western, and Eastern dishes.
The contest featured multiple phases, testing housemates’ teamwork, communication, creativity, and decision-making skills.
The first activity, Crossword Puzzle, saw the teams search for hidden ingredients in a pot of colourful balls and cross them off on a puzzle board. The fastest team earned 30 points.
In the second activity, Show Some Love Behind My Back, housemates exchanged affirmations and love notes in a playful guessing game that rewarded correct identifications with points.
The grand highlight was the Cooking and Presentation Contest, where each team prepared and presented culturally-inspired Indomie dishes. Team Chicken Peppersoup represented the North, Team Oriental the West, and Team Crayfish the East. They were judged on creativity, aesthetics, time management, and cultural representation. At the end of the task, Team Oriental Fried Noodles, consisting of Thelma, Otega, Dede, Koyin, Jason, Kuture, Imisi, Kayikunmi, and Sultana, emerged champions with 62 points, winning the hearts of viewers and securing Indomie’s place as not just a meal, but a symbol of shared flavour and unity.
