The newly recorded infections were reported across 9 states.
A breakdown of cases by state shows that Lagos took the lead
with 22 infections, Rivers with 15, Bayelsa with 7 and Kaduna with 5 cases.
Ogun, Akwa Ibom, Osun, Kano and Ebonyi reported 4, 3, 2, 1 and
1 respectively.
Total fatalities still stand at 2,061 while the tally of
confirmed infections rose to 164,207, according to the NCDC's latest update.
Regarding recoveries from the virus, the NCDC said 21 new
recoveries have been registered, bringing that number to 154,325.
The latest update on NCDC dashboard shows that active cases in Nigeria increased by 39, presently stand at 7,821.
