    NIgeria Records 341 More COVID-19 Cases, Lowest Single-Day Record Since December

    Nigeria logged 341 new coronavirus cases in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday, the lowest daily increase since December 28, 2020.

    The latest report from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control showed the new figures raised the country's total to 155,417. Of this number, 20,183 are active cases.

    The health agency also recorded 712 new COVID-19 survivors for a total of 133,256 recoveries. The death toll, meanwhile, went up to 1,905 with 3 additional fatalities.

    NCDC noted that today's discharges include 319 community recoveries in Lagos State, 121 in Kaduna State and 38 in Rivers State. Data from Kaduna State recorded for 26th and 27th.

    The highest increase in new cases was logged in Lagos with 96, following by Rivers with 41, Kaduna with 33, Edo with 21 and Osun had 20 cases.

    Also, Akwa Ibom and FCT confirmed 17 cases each, Ondo had 15, Gombe and Kano reported 11 cases each.

    Imo reported ten cases, Ekiti and Kebbi confirmed nine cases each, Kwara and Oyo had eight cases each, Borno with six, Enugu and Plateau had three cases each,  Delta, Niger and Ogun confirmed one case each.
