OIC Secretary-General Praises Saudi Arabia’s Role in Evacuating the Stranded from Sudan

Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, has praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s varied and earnest efforts in helping to evacuate from Sudan citizens of OIC Member States, non-OIC Member States, diplomats, international workers and civilians because of the conditions in the country, appreciating the timely Saudi initiative.

The Secretary-General particularly thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Salman Ibn Abdulaziz and HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their follow up and directives in this regard.

On another hand, the Secretary-General renewed his appeal for ceasefire in Sudan and for a return to dialogue in order to safeguard the security and safety of the Sudanese people, the country and its capabilities.
