2024 Basketball Africa League Media Credential Application

To request credentials, all the steps set forth in this application must be completed.

Applications are now being accepted for working media credentials for the Basketball Africa League’s (BAL) Sahara Conference group phase, which will be held from May 4 – May 12 at the Dakar Arena in Dakar, Senegal.  To request credentials, all the steps set forth in this application must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.  All credential application forms must be completed by Friday, April 19, 2024.                                                                                              
Applying Journalists:  The Media Credential Application that follows this advisory must be completed by each journalist intending to cover the BAL’s Sahara Conference group phase in Dakar.
 
APPROVAL PROCESS: The application process will have two stages:

• Stage 1: Media apply for the BAL’s Sahara Conference group phase credentials by registering here with the following details: full name, name of the media outlet, type (PHOTO, VIDEO CREW, PRINT/ONLINE), email, phone number.
• Stage 2: The approved media will receive the final credential link where they will be requested to upload their individual digital headshots.

DISTRIBUTION PROCESS: All BAL media credentials will be issued by the BAL in Dakar.  Specific credential distribution information will be shared by April 30.  Each individual applicant approved for a credential for BAL will be asked to present government-issued photo identification to verify his/her identity, and sign for the credential when picking it up on-site.
