BBNaija: Why Beatrice, Niyi, Yerins Were Evicted

BBNaija Season 6 housemates Yerins, Niyi and Beatrice have been evicted from the ongoing reality TV show.

The sum of N90m is up for grabs by the eventual winner of the 90-day show, which is in its second week.

Yerins was the first contestant to be evicted from the reality TV show. His eviction was followed by that of Niyi and Beatrice.

Shortly after their eviction, the organisers of the show introduced four new housemates.

Before the eviction event, Yerins had told Biggie, “It’s going to be emotional for me to leave the house if evicted today.”

He added, “I keep my fingers crossed that my time here has impacted the viewers so far.”

Why the three housemates were evicted.

Beatrice

• Right from the time the female housemates were ushered into the Big Brother Naija House, Beatrice, the Port Harcourt -based fashion model started sowing the seeds of her downfall. She couldn’t mix up with her colleagues and was always seen alone and withdrawn. Although she attributed mental health to the abuse she had suffered in her seven year marriage, she wasn’t supposed to carry that baggage into the house.
• For one to succeed in the house, right from the blast of the referee’s whistle, the housemates have to make the best use of their conversational and networking skills. They must also be skillful enough to form alliances and cliques. These things Beatrice failed to do. So her eviction did not come as a surprise.

Fashion model and up and coming actress, Beatrice Agba Nwaji is a 28-year-old single mother of a five-year-old boy.

She is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where she studied marketing.

Beatrice believes that she was “created with a special clay” because she wonders how she is able to do the things she does, without having learned how to do them.

She can sing, dance, play basketball and football very well and is also a great hairstylist.

She is a talented software developer and when it comes to games, she is always the winner or the first runner up, even when she is not familiar with the game.

She wants to be in the Big Brother Naija house because she has an interesting personality which the world needs to see and also wants to positively impact those who have similar stories to hers.

Yerins

• Yeris is a medical doctor who he did not put his experience with patients to good use. Like Beatrice, he was uninspiring and couldn’t mix up with the other housemates.

Medical doctor Yerimene Abraham Saibakumo describes himself as “a perfectionist, creative genius, lover of art and poetic rap music”. He sees himself as a renaissance man who isn’t confined to one profession or career.

The 27-year-old enjoys drawing, playing chess, listening to music, and making it too. He also has plans to write a medical book in the near future.

He identifies himself as a fun-loving, creative and curious person – and says his curiosity has helped him to garner expert knowledge in many fields, from modelling and digital animation to fashion design.

The high point of Yerins’ life is when he graduated from Medical University in Ukraine and finally got to see his parents for the first time in 9 years.

Niyi

• Niyi who hailed from Oyo State but based in South Africa also shot himself in the foot when as the married man he always prided himself on, he couldn’t mix freely with his fellow housemates, especially the female ones. And during sessions such as Truth and Dare, in which housemates were expected to be free and go wild, Niyi was restrictive. He couldn’t operate fully because of his marital status, yet he was caught admiring the backside of a female housemate and bloggers feasted on that.

Adeniyi Lawai is a 33-year-old computer engineer from Oyo State.

Though he was once in the running to be a professional basketball player, that ambition was quickly quashed when he sustained an injury, leading to sciatica.

With a sense of Dennis Rodman about him, he still loves to play basketball and work out, and is adventurous when it comes to new food, and enjoys both eating and cooking it.

He is also an avid reader, aspiring writer and is fond of playing board games and card games – he even has a gaming license.

A husband and father, Niyi describes himself as “optimistic, spontaneous and adventurous,” while others describe him as being energetic.

Lessons

1. When in the Big Brother House, you have to put your interactive and conversational skills to good use. These Beatrice and Yerins failed to do
2. When you are in the house you are in the house. You have to drop all your baggage at home and be in the house fully, not one leg in and one leg out. These things the three housemates failed to do.
3. Big Brother house is place where everybody has to be on top notch. Beatrice, Yerins and Niyi weren’t.
